XI Negative



Negative sense is expressed is four ways by  



L   suffixing /nu : riya '

2.   suffixing t - wa/

1.1.    To express the slate of non exhistance /  nu : riya/

only will be         as suffix.



eg ;    He Is not (here)    = /ma ; yu HE : riya :/



It is not a             =             i        : EU : riya :/



It is not good      = /to               : u : riya :/



A one word equivalent,  of "bad" is   not   found   in

Gadaba                  = good.



lusted of /iiu : riya,* /u : riva/   is  suffixed to give the

negative sense.



1.2.    To express negative ia past anJ present  tenses and in



causative / nu : riya/ is suffixed.



eg : Negative In past tease :  

Noa duplicate verbs :

Transitive = did aot wash = /gudiya : nu : riya :/

latransitive = did not weep = /boro : mi: riya :/



Duplicative verbs:



Transitive    = dia not beat = /gogo : y nu : riya:/

Intransitive = did not fall   = /logulo : nu : riya :/
